What's Moving Into My Spring Wardrobe

A look at the pieces I’m considering adding to my spring wardrobe, from classic Levi’s denim and striped knitwear to textured gold jewellery that adds quiet character.

What's Moving Into My Spring Wardrobe

I'm finally mentally ready for spring. As the temperature creeps upward, I'm more than excited to shed the heavy layering and rethink everything: from the structural honesty of a good denim jacket to the gold I wear closest to my skin.

The Suede Pivot

There is a distinct relief in trading a heavy overcoat for something that feels deliberate rather than just protective. I’ve been eyeing the Edgard Coat from Sézane for spring. The raglan sleeves and internal drawstring create a sculpted silhouette that still feels unfussy. It’s the kind of piece that lets you toggle between a defined waist and an unstudied, relaxed fit by adjusting a cord.

The Will Jacket in denim blue is the easier alternative, but I find myself drawn to the suede version. There’s a tactile warmth to suede that denim rarely replicates, and I can already imagine how it would sit against the gold I’m planning to wear closest to my skin.

The Archival Denim Shift

After years of wearing ultra-high-rise silhouettes like the 1950s 701, the Ribcage Straight, the Slim 70s from Levi’s, the Levi's XL Straight Leg has gradually reframed my perspective on proportion.

This spring, I'm adding a mid-wash version of the XL Straight and a pair of boyfriend jeans to my rotation. Both share that classic, loose straight-leg silhouette with a mid-rise waist. Where the XL is built from rigid non-stretch denim, the boyfriend jeans are crafted from premium Japanese denim, a material with a particular integrity that modern stretch fabrics rarely replicate. In the Starboard MIJ Blue wash, the boyfriend jeans feel like a quiet nod to my own 701s. Specifically, that same worn-in quality that feels earned rather than performed.

The Mid-Season Knit

With the denim setting the tone, there is room for the knitwear to be more playful. The knitted polo from Arket, specifically the one in the brown, grey, and pink-striped colour way, sits at the top of my list for its rare mid-season balance. It’s 100% wool, providing the necessary warmth without the need for bulky layering.

It’s the kind of jumper you reach for without thinking, knowing you’ll feel warm and comfortable even if the weather shifts. I can already see it becoming an easy spring uniform paired with the boyfriend jeans on slow Saturday mornings. For days that call for something simpler, the striped beige colour way offers that same versatility, though it’s crafted in 100% cotton for a lighter, more breathable feel. But when the clothing remains this understated, it’s the finishing details that carry the weight of the story.

The Art of the Lived-In Accessory

Jewellery should tell a story, which is why I’m drawn to the Antica Medium Hoops from Monica Vinader. Their hammered finish gives them a richly rustic, earthy character that stands in sharp contrast to the high-gloss precision of my Deia Bold Earrings. There is a practical brilliance to the Antica’s artisanal texture; it embraces the marks of daily life, transforming small scratches into a soft patina. In other words, it’s jewellery you don’t have to worry about living in.

Alongside the hoops, I’m also eyeing the Antica Stacking Ring Set to bring that same balance into my daily rotation. The visual tension between the textured band and the smooth one, creates a subtle, flattering contrast that feels modern yet rooted in something older.

Of course, no recalibration is complete without the essentials. I’m also re-purchasing the Deia Huggies for what feels like the hundredth time. I’ve lost and replaced them more often than I can count, but I keep coming back to them simply because they are the most effortless piece in my collection.

Spring wardrobes rarely require a total reinvention. More often, they evolve through small textural recalibrations: suede against rigid denim, soft wool against hammered gold. These are small adjustments, perhaps, but they are the kind that redefine a daily uniform into something that feels fresh, balanced, and unmistakably me.
