Hello everyone, I know it’s been a while since my last post, but I am glad to be back with a summer update. Now that we are officially in summer, it’s the perfect time to put away heavy layers and take out all of our summer essentials like sunglasses, sunscreens, cute woven bags, and comfy slides. Switching up our wardrobe and basking in the sunny weather is always refreshing; some of us have activated vacation mode and are ready to enjoy the sun. Summer is my favorite season because I can wear light, casual clothing, soak in the sun and enjoy leisure activities. I’m already rotating some of my favorite pieces from last summer, but I’m also eyeing a few new items I lack for this summer. I have listed some of my summer essentials below. –>

Sunscreen and Sunglasses

Sunscreen is essential in all seasons and vital during summer as the weather allows for outdoor activities. Choose a sunscreen of SPF 30 and above, and if you plan to be in the water, I suggest sunscreen with a water-resistant formula. On the other hand, sunglasses are not just fashion accessories. They help to protect our eyes from the sun’s rays, and if you are light-sensitive, a nice pair of sunglasses also protect your eyes against the sun’s harmful rays, especially if you are photosensitive.

Woven Bag

My go-to bag, irrespective of the weather, is a nice leather crossbody bag because I can go hands-free. But this summer, I decided to try a different style of bag I’ve had my eyes on for months! It’s a woven leather tote bag that is spacious and versatile, and the color is lovely. It has quickly become my summer staple.

Dresses

Whether mini, midi, or maxi, dresses are excellent summer apparel. I look for dresses made from lightweight, breathable fabrics such as linen and cotton. I like a sleeveless midi dress with a pair of slides for a chic and comfortable look. You can accessorize with pieces of jewelry.

Shorts and Skirts

Shorts and skirts are other styles you will catch me in during summer. They are perfect for staying cool in the summer heat. I prefer mid-thigh shorts in linen or denim, and the length and silhouette for skirts vary. For example, A mini skirt paired with a tank top is a classic summer outfit that you can dress up with some jewelry and sunglasses. I like to pair shorts with a T-shirt and accessorize with a belt.

Slides and Flip-flops

Unless I’m attending a formal event or hiking, you will catch me in slides and flip-flops during summer because they allow my feet to breathe and keep me comfortable in the heat. I usually go for a pair made of leather in black or brown color.

Now that I’ve shared some of my summer essentials, I am curious to know your favorite thing about summer!
