Something blue for autumn 2025
As autumn slowly creeps in, I've been gradually swapping out my breezy summer pieces for cosier layers and mentally planning what I'll actually wear when the chill sets in. I've also been doing my usual seasonal round of browsing online stores, curating my wishlists, and saving endless inspos from Pinterest and TikTok.
And while I naturally gravitate toward cosy earthy neutrals and warm browns and blacks during this season, I have noticed a striking hint of blues during my recent scrolls, not just navy (which is the usual go-to for autumn), but softer dusty tones, unexpected tints and richer shades that feel fresh against classic autumn colours and textures.
Typically, the only blues in my wardrobe have been striped shirts or a trusty pair of mid-wash jeans. However, a few standout pieces caught my eye, and they feel like just the right balance between classic and playful. I also think they would fit seamlessly into my autumn capsule, adding a subtle hint of fun and colourful twist to my already neutral wardrobe.
